Dr. Linda Brent Nominated for ATHENA Award

Dr. Linda Brent, President and Director of Chimp Haven, has been nominated for the 15th Annual ATHENA Award.
The ATHENA Award is presented to one who has attained and personifies the highest level of professional excellence in his or her business or profession, has devoted time and energy to the community in a meaningful way, and most especially, has opened doors of leadership opportunity to women.
“Dr. Brent has led by example that women can be and do anything they set their minds to. She has proven that no dream is too big. By her trailblazing accomplishments as well as her commitment to education, Dr. Brent has consistently assisted women in reaching their full leadership potential,” said Krissy Lawton, Public Relations and Communications for Chimp Haven.
Presented by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino and GAP Broadcasting Shreveport – Bossier, the ATHENA Awards Ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Women’s Conference on Tuesday, May 20th at Sam’s Town Casino and Hotel.
