Chimpanzee Discovery Day

Free and open to the public, visitors will be able to view the chimpanzees in their naturalistic environment as they forage for fruit, vegetables and leaves, and talk to staff about the chimpanzees’ personalities and natural behavior.  Join us in 2012 for Chimpanzee Discovery Day. September 15, Health and Exercise
October 20, Harvest Festival
November 17, Thankful for Enrichment support Chimp Haven’s Education Program.

Chimp Chat & Chew

A new event following Chimpanzee Discovery Days, called “Chimp Chat & Chew”, was launched in March, 2010. Chimp Chat & Chew includes a behind the scenes tour, lunch and a presentation by a staff member.  The 2012 Chimp Chat & Chew dates are as follows: March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, September 15, and November 17. Fees ($30 adult/$15 child).

Chow Down for Chimp Haven

On May 1, 2012, restaurants around the country are coming together to support Chimp Haven. On this day, participating restaurants will donate 10% of their proceeds to Chimp Haven. Participating restaurants include

• Ruby Tuesday – Shreveport, Bossier and Texarkana, Louisiana (Bring a copy of this flyer with you!)

• Cane’s on Mansfield Road – Shreveport  (Be sure to mention that you are there to benefit Chimp Haven)

• Albasha Greek and Lebanese – Shreveport

• Smashburger – Shreveport and Bossier
