Party with a Purpose

.facebook_763469140 On March 22 Mojo’s hosted a night with Tom E. Gunn in partnership with Chimp Haven to help raise money for the 111 New Iberia Research Center chimpanzees being retired to the sanctuary this year.

“We are so happy to  have raised more than $2,000 to help retire the New Iberia chimpanzees,” Chimp Haven’s President and CEO, Cathy Spraetz, said. “The community support was tremendous and we are greatly appreciative that Gary Yellen, owner of Mojo’s, believes in our mission.”

The night was filled with great music by Tom E. Gunn and  friends as well as a raffle for a painting by Ivy, a Chimp Haven retired chimpanzee. A special drink was also crafted for the occasion.
