Planning for the Future

There are many ways to secure the future of Chimp Haven.  Donors who have taken steps to include Chimp Haven in their will or estate plans join the ranks of our honorary membership group, The Chimp Haven Legacy Society.

Chimp Haven is reliant to a great extent on the generosity of individuals; therefore, we firmly believe in expressing thanks and gratitude for all contributions received. Estate gifts are no exception, and therefore The Chimp Haven Legacy Society was formed with a dual purpose: 

       l To honor the estate gift donor in advance during the donor’s life
       l To encourage others to remember the chimpanzees by your example

To join, an individual need only supply the Chimp Haven Development Office with a copy (or relevant portion thereof) of the document that establishes a testamentary gift to Chimp Haven. We understand that you may want to keep estate plans private, but we would appreciate having the opportunity to acknowledge and recognize your generosity.

Gifts made through your estate tell the world about the people and institutions you loved and valued in your life. Let people know that you believe Chimp Haven makes a difference, and that it will continue to make a difference in the community and the world for generations to come.
